I have good news (and things) all around...boy, what a day....shall I list them in order of importance? Or when I received the news? Or by the astrological sign of the event at the time of occurance? Nah..I'll just fling them out there:
1. My Christmas (or Solstice) tree is up and running...complete with 5 sets of lights, Simpsons and Spongebob character ornaments (and normal glass bulbs), and train going around the bottom. Getting all ready for my third annual Holiday Knit Party on Sunday...knitting, eating and exchanging gifts...everything I love...ha ha.
2. I already mentioned that my Haiku Flower Sock pattern is going to be sold on KPixie, right? Well, the printed patterns are going out TO-DAY! Woo-hoo! And, not only that, but I'll also be able to sell the patterns in pdf form right here on my blog for $5 a piece...and, if you buy the pattern, One Planet Yarn and Fiber has graciously offered a discount code on buying the Black Pearl 100% cashmere to go with the pattern!
Pretty sweet, huh? And, another great thing is that you can make a whole PAIR of women's socks from only one skein of this delicious yarn. Can't get any better than that! (pics by the very talented YarnB...aren't the pics beautiful?)
3. Lovely Donna is going to trade some some Noro Kureyon (yes, I'm giving it another chance) for the Lizard Ridge throw from Knitty.com in exchange for some of my handspun. Just bought some Chasing Rainbows merino/bombyx silk roving from VT in the Moonstone colorway and Donna picked that out. Here is what I've spun so far...
and, last but certainly NOT least....
4. I checked up on the Podcast mp3 downloads to see how things are going...figuring that if I had about 100 (which was a little more than the original number), I'd be happy. But, guess what?? Just since the end of November (not counting the end of Oct or most of Nov), I've had...listen to this...
over 544 downloads!!!! (and over 350 just for the latest Holiday GiftTastic episode)
WOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOO!
I can't believe that so many people want to listen to me babble on and on. It's totally amazing!!!! Are these people slightly insane? (no offense)? I love doing the podcasts and mostly do them for me, but it's wonderful to know that there are people out there (other than my loyal Manchvegas Group...who I guilt into listening...ha ha) who don't HAVE to listen, but DO!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU faceless and comment-less listeners! Let me know who you are!
okay, I guess that's all....oh, make sure to check in a day or two for my new contest....the next podcast will be "unplugged" and totally unscripted. I will only be answering the weird, wacky and wild knitting/spinning/other questions that you ask me (via email or blog comments). The winner will get....a skein of SOCKS THAT ROCK!!!!!!!! With outrageous and fun music and my usual "WOW...New Stuff" section.
Get crackin' and ask me some QUESTIONS!!!! (the funnier and more bizarre the better)
Happy Knitting!

I just (finally) finished listening to the latest podcast - another excellent edition! And I'm happy to see you're "regular blogging" too still - love the tree, LOVE the socks!
I love the socks! So dainty. I bet the cashmere feels amazing. What a way to pamper your feet.
Your tree looks awesome. The sock pattern is gorgeous! 544!!! That rocks. Now I just have to think of some questions....
1. Your tree is GORGEOUS!
2. Ditto for the socks! They look so incredibly soft and the pattern is so pretty. Great job - YAY for you.
3. I've been considering the Lizard Ridge, but figure it'd be a lifelong project!
4. I still haven't had a chance to listen to the latest podcast. I can read your blog entries while at work, but I don't think I could get away with listening to the podcast here :) I'm not surprised at the number of downloads - you have a great voice and you are very entertaining.
Gotta start thinking of a good question for you.
Sounds great!! I'm so impressed about your pattern-great job. That really is a pretty pattern you made. Oh and I think I told you already but I've finally caught up on my podcasts and you did a great job, as usual. I'll be waiting for the next one.
As far as a question goes. Hmmm I can't seem to think of any wacky ones. Once I get my wheel I'm sure to have tons of normal ones for you. ;) I'd love to get my hands on that socks that rock yarn-is it really that fabulous? I'll have to think of a question soon.
Love the tree. These socks are so very pretty, great job on the pattern. I love Noro colors, but alas, I've not been too impressed with the scratchiness of the yarn. The lizard ridge afghan is a lovely pattern though. Have a great weekend.
Hello, hello! Love the show! I'll be a new regular listener!
