My Winding Arm is Failing...

Peek a BOO....I SEE you!

This is a subtle reminder that I can be anywhere at anytime....(maybe I'm clicking you at this very moment)...ready to pounce on you and your knitting....

Yes, I have to admit, I like to take pictures of people knitting...especially if they are my friends. Erikca calls me "Gina Papparazzi"...did I spell that right? So, if you are becoming lax on one of your projects, remember that I could be there to rat you out when you least expect it!

Okay, now that I've freaked you out, I'll give you a list of the things I've been up to....hopefully short and sweet...

1. Finally finished a skein of self striping sock yarn for S., who in in Japan at the moment....came out very nice...except I think my arm almost fell off after winding and unwinding that friggin yarn for hours this weekend....sheesh!

2. Worked on my Jaywalker #1, second set...in Lisa's beautiful Tiger Lily sock yarn....it's actually called Marigold, but I didn't get the name on the label and made up my own....whoops!

3. Spun this gorgeous, one ply, novelty yarn from my Fiberfly fiber....Grapes on a Windy Day.....it's 80% ramboillet and 20% angora....kinda hard to spin...a fair amount of it was felted, but the color is so, so wonderful and I loved the yarn when I was done....picture of the yarn coming another day...sorry...

4. Spun a 100% cashmere yarn (I'm no longer a cashmere-spinning virgin!) in a natural, tawny color (which I've named "Favorite Teddy"...you cannot believe how soft this is unless you feel it....here...come closer....

5. Picked some flowers in my yard the other day to put on the kitchen counter, but don't know the name of them...do you?...are they Tiger Lilies (can it BE???) or something else?

6. Dyed some varigated yarn for Julie's daughter....calling it "Sunset Spectacular"....it's not self striping, but a worsted weight merino yarn that is like the softest, cuddliest baby....I hope she likes it!

Finally, here is a pic of my sister and the boys when she visited last weekend. We had a great time...scrapbooking and shopping....the kids love when she visits....I do, too!

Hope you all had a great 4th and my next blog will be....

A Yarn-aster Giveaway!!!

One lucky person will win a free skein of sock yarn...details coming soon!
